Easter Road Trip 2015
From Left to Right
Me -
The serious one in the family. I wish I weren't, but it's how I'm made! I always have at least one pair of glasses on my head, sometimes two. From 7:30-4:00ish, I'm a high school librarian. All other times, I'm a soccer mom, a LAX mom, a ballet mom, a cook (a pretty good one according to my family), a photographer, a sheep dog owner, a .... I love books, technology, words, photos, letters, old cars, dogs, polka dots, icing without the cake, exercise (wait - not really), but most of all, I love the goofy guy in the driver's seat and those three wonderful kiddos behind us!
Oldest-One-of-Three -
Oh how I wish I had this girlie's personality! She makes me laugh everyday - well, almost everyday - she is a teenager, you know. My rising senior in high school - where has the time gone???? She's amazing inside and out. She's a lady with a thousand accents, an avid learner of all things biology-anatomy-medical related, the absolutely most patriotic human being on the planet, a citizen who has incredible respect for those that serve our country and one that has plans to join them after college. She is never afraid to express herself. She gives our home personality.
Youngest-One-of-Three -
My Nutter Butter. For the first 5 years of her life, my husband and I called her our extreme child - either extremely sweet and loving or extremely difficult. Let's just say she's calmed down, down, and down! She was one of those children that it's a good thing she was third; had she been first, she may have been an only child. When she will little - I stopped getting upset at her shenanigans and just started taking pics of them all - items to share with her kiddos in year to come! Today, she's wonderful - wonderfully talented and creative. She has a way about her requests that often allows her to get her way. She gives our home innocence and creative spirit.
Middle-One-of-Three -
This guy is our thinker! He is oh so smart - a silent and calm-on-the-outside leader. His quick wit, dry sense of humor, and sarcasm will serve him well! I love how he tries to hide his enthusiasm - a little grin says, "Wow!" He writes, he imagines, he reads. But at the same he runs, he skates, he bats, he scores, he tackles, shoots... He is also surprising. He's the one person in our family that's a baby person. He loves them and has since his little sister was born. He's an expert at feeling comfortable around them and comforting them when they are upset. Babies and little ones love him, too! He'll make a wonderful husband one day to some sweet girl, but it will break my heart when he picks her over me! He gives our home a sense of calm and humor.
My Guy -
Absolutely amazing - that's him. The funny parent - the goofy guy - the master of nonsensical songs - the one willing to take a risk. I don't know any husband that works as hard for his family as my guy does. He knows all my ridiculous quirks and still continues to love me each and everyday. Honestly, I can't sing his praises enough. He makes us laugh, he can fix anything, and did I say he knows me and STILL loves me anyway? He gives our home - well, everything that he has.
